That's President Doom To You!

A photographer hired by Atlantic Monthly to take pictures of John McCain evidently purposely ran the session to get the worst pictures she could get, then photoshopped them some more and put them up on her site as an attack on McCain. She evidently welcomes anyone else to use them for their own gratification, so someone took her up on it: http://minx.cc/?post=273406 (Warning: Language)

I have to admit I'm one of the people who think McCain looks pretty darn good as an evil overlord, and it's probably increased my interest in voting for him.

I'm not sure what disturbs me more, that picture or that you read that blog.

Well, I've never read that blog before, and probably won't go back. I just followed the link from someone else who does.

Let's face it, sometimes I wonder if we might not be BETTER off electing a supervillain president. Problems might get solved that way.

After all, even supervillains would feel the need to protect their domain from other supervillains.

Oh, that's all we need - a benevolent dictator? So you are an Obama support after all. :-) Somehow Putin in the White House doesn't give me warm fuzzies. A supervillian would be hellbent on making people do as he/she required. We all lose, I think.

I think it is time for pitchforks and torches. Jefferson said he expected a revolution every 50 years or something like that. We're a long time overdue. "Grab the pitchfork, Erma. We're agoin' to Warshington."

Which is why, in the Evil Empire system of government, citizens will be able to apply for permits to attack government buildings...with paintball guns. Government employees will also be issued paintball guns that day, and those of the building's staffers who don't want to participate can take a sick day. Of course, if you try this on a day and time OTHER than the ones listed on your permit, or with non-approved weapons, the security officers will have REAL weapons and no qualms about using them on you.

Chance for abuse and/or accidents, not to mention trojan horsing? Sure, but when has being in government ever been 100% safe?
